New York Metro Super Lawyers 2018 Recognizes Berke-Weiss Law PLLC Lawyers

Laurie Berke-Weiss has been selected to the 2018 Top 100 Lawyers: NY Metro list, and to the Top 50 Women: NY Metro List.  Ms. Berke-Weiss has been a Super Lawyers nominee since 2006, and on the Top 50 Women: NY Metro list since 2011.

Alexandra Berke has been selected to the 2018 New York Rising Stars list. Ms. Berke was also nominated to the 2017 New York Rising Stars list. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor. This honor recognizes lawyers 40 years old or younger or in practice for ten years or less.

The labor market is exceptionally tight, a scenario which has converged over the last six months with what economists are calling the Great Resignation, with a record number of workers quitting in November. In the popular media, the narrative emerging from this phenomenon is one in which workers are in possession of more power than they have been for quite a while, which has resulted in an increase in wages, especially for the working class. The power, however, ultimately remains in the hands of bosses, and many workers’ experiences do not neatly coincide with the narrative.
